ScottishPower Renewables has launched an innovative interactive map that will ensure local communities are fully informed of all pre-enabling and construction activity taking place across their windfarm projects.
The map uses a Geographical Information System (GIS) to highlight the onshore and offshore development boundaries, consented convertor station footprint and other information relevant to their project, which will evolve as the project progresses.
The map will be used to illustrate specific locations where activity is taking place, the timings, and any other supporting information.
It can be found on new Project Activity pages which have been published within the project areas for East Anglia ONE North, East Anglia TWO and East Anglia THREE of the ScottishPower Renewables’ website.
These Project Activity pages include an activity schedule to accompany the map, which provides information on planned upcoming activities and other detail that cannot be specified within the map.
The map forms part of a comprehensive communications approach, including website news stories and project email updates, to ensure that local communities remain up to date with any works or activities happening as the projects progress.
You can find the interactive map and activity schedule here, as well as a video tutorial and full guide on how to use the map and its functionalities.
