Planning

The Parish Council receives notification of all Planning Applications relating to the Parish. Responses from the Parish Council, either in support of the application or objections, are passed to East Suffolk Council which, as the local Planning Authority, takes these comments in to consideration when deciding the application. East Suffolk Council should notify by letter all neighbours whose gardens back onto the site; also those facing the site on the opposite side of the road. They also display notices on the boundary of the site or nearby. To assist our Parishioners, all current and recent planning applications in the Parish are listed in Local Planning Application. The Parish Council's own comments must take into account planning law and policies in the East Suffolk Local Plan and the Martlesham Neighbourhood Plan.
